Vintage Silver (mini bundle) 100% Merino Lambswool/ Worsted Weight Base

In this bundle, we have a full 100g skein of our Vintage Silver and five 20g mini skeins, one each of the other five other colorways in our vintage collection. 

All of the color ways in our Vintage Holiday Collection are on the same lovely base, our 100% Superwash Merino Lambswool, Worsted Weight base.  It has 4 plies and about 6 wpi.  There are approximately 245 yards of gorgeous yarn per 100g skein.  Our 100% Superwash Merino Lambswool is spun in the United States.  

Our Vintage Silver rounds out the last of our color ways in our Vintage Holiday Collection.  Vintage Silver pairs very nicely with our Vintage Gold, and all of the color ways in our Vintage Holiday Collection.  (Remember that famous holiday song Silver & Gold, sung by Burl Ives, in Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.  That’s what we were thinking of, when we were putting together our first Holiday Collection!  We hope we achieved those memories for you as well!).

Lambswool is wool taken from the first shearing of sheep, usually when they are around seven months old. Merino is a breed of sheep whose wool has especially soft, long and fine fibers.  These fibers are uniquely crimped to hold warmth while still remaining lightweight. Merino lambswool is considered the finest of these fibers.

Merino Lambswool is an extremely soft and luxurious yarn which should not cause you any itching or any irritation.  Its ultra fine fibers provide a uniquely soft touch.  

Merino Lambswool is light and drapey, fluffy and soft.  Knitters love working with Merino Lambswool due to its softness and for another fine quality, it is known not to shrink.  It will retain both of these qualities even after repeated washings.   Our Vintage Holiday Collection skeins would be perfect to knit or crochet a beautiful heirloom, Christmas Stocking, as well as hats, mittens and scarves!  

We suggest using a US  4-7 Knitting Needle and a size G-I Crochet Hook. (This is only a suggestion, everyone’s tension varies, please use what is the most comfortable for you!)

All of Sand Castles and Sea Shells Yarns are certified mulesing free. 

As with all naturally hand dyed yarns, we recommend hand washing your finished piece,  using a PH Balanced Soap such as Mrs. Myer’s Clean Day Lavender Laundry. 

**Please note that if you have purchased minis from our Vintage Collection, I have tried to give you as much yarn without wasting any, so my tying may be a bit unusual.  Please take care not to cut the wrong thread!**
