Tropical Waters - 70% Super Kid Mohair - 30% Silk/ Lace Weight Base

This lovely color is on our one ply, 70% Super Kid Mohair and 30% Silk, Lace Weight base. There are approximately 435 yards and 50 grams, of gorgeous yarn per skein. **If you can not see the complete fourth and fifth photos above, please click on them to open them up. The bases in those photos are as follows; from left to right in the fourth photo is our 100% Fine Organic Fingering Weight, Mohair Lace and Fine Superwash Merino Wool Bulky Weight base.  In the fifth photo, from left to right is our 100% Baby Alpaca Sport Weight, 100% Fine Organic Fingering Weight, Mohair Lace Weight, 100% Fine Organic Merino Wool Sport Weight and finally our Fine Superwash Merino Wool Bulky Weight.**

Superkid Mohair is taken from the first shearing of a Mohair goat. These are the softest and the finest fibers a Mohair goat will ever produce. (The second shearing is normally referred to as kid mohair, and is still of fine quality, but is not as soft as Superkid Mohair.) Our Lace Weight, Superkid Mohair, is a super light and an airy yarn, which can be worked on many different gauges.

Our Lace Weight, Superkid Mohair, can be held alone or with another base. (I personally think it goes quite lovely with all of the bases in our Tropical Waters Collection.) This yarn is certain to help you create heirloom quality pieces.

All of Sand Castles and Sea Shells Yarns are certified mulesing free.

When using Mohair in your piece, the finished item must be hand washed in cool water, using a PH Balanced Soap such as Mrs. Myer's Clean Day Lavender Laundry.
