Pink Sands - 100% Organic GOTS Certified Cotton/ Worsted Weight Base

This lovely color is on our 100% Organic GOTS Certified Cotton, Worsted Weight base. It has 4 plies and there are approximately 164 yards of yarn per skein. The Global Organic Textile Standard is the leading standard for fibers in the world.  It has very high standards at every stage of the supply chain. 

The GOTS ensures that everything from the processing of the fiber to the labeling and to the treatment of textile workers, is done in an ethical and a sustainable manner. 

Our 100% Organic GOTS Certified Cotton base is good for you and for the planet. There are no dyes or bleach used in the processing of this yarn, which ensures that the fiber stays both soft and luxurious. 

Organic GOTS Certified Worsted Cotton is very soft and is good for making everything from baby garments to shawls and wraps.  (Please keep in mind that due to the natural state of this yarn, you should expect 5 - 10% shrinkage.  Please consider this when purchasing your quantity.)

 
Please note that there is some lovely shading in all three of these skeins. This is not an imperfection in either the skeins, or the natural dyes.  Unlike yarns being dyed with Acid Dyes, this can happen with some natural dyeing materials.  Our beautiful Light Purple Sea Glass color way was like this, and our customer who purchased all three skeins, was very happy with them.  Here is her review;

We suggest using a US  6 - 9 Knitting Needle and a size I - K Crochet Hook. (This is only a suggestion, everyone’s tension varies, please use what is the most comfortable for you!)

As with all naturally hand dyed yarns, we recommend hand washing your finished piece, using a PH Balanced Soap such as Mrs. Myer’s Clean Day Lavender Laundry.
