This lovely color is on our 100% Fine Organic Merino, Non Superwash Wool, and is a 4 ply Worsted/ Aran weight with 219 yards. Fine Merino Wool has the softness, warmth and quality you would expect with luxury yarns.
The Northern Lights are caused by electrically charged particles which enter the Earth’s upper atmosphere at a very high speed. Known as the solar winds, these particles originate from the sun. It was actually my husband who came up with the name for these three skeins! It has been a dream of ours, to one day see the Northern Lights for ourselves.
Merino Wool is a 100% natural and renewable sustainable resource. It is also biodegradable, organic and environmentally friendly.
Recent studies have proven that Fine Merino Wool garments worn next to the skin are a natural remedy against eczema. They act as a second skin and stabilize the “humidity level and the micro climate of the skin surface.” They are proven to reduce symptoms such as redness, itch and rush especially in those who suffer from dermatological conditions.
Wonderful projects for our Fine Organic Merino Wool would be hats, mittens, scarves, sweaters, children’s garments and home accessories. The possibilities are honestly endless!
We suggest using a US 6/8 Knitting Needles and a size H Crochet Hook. (This is only a suggestion, everyone’s tension varies, please use what is the most comfortable for you!)

As with all naturally hand dyed yarns, we recommend hand washing your finished piece, using a PH Balanced Soap such as Mrs. Myer’s Clean Day Lavender Laundry.
