This unusual Pear Briolette cut was designed by Lodewyk van Bercken, a Belgian Jeweler, in 1476. This cut requires a more advanced technique than round cuts, making Gemstones cut in a Pear Briolette style, very rare and quite expensive. This particular cut is mostly used for stones with color, such as Sapphires, Chalcedony and some varieties of Quartz. This style of cutting was made popular during the Victorian Era and has remained so today.

Apricot Quartz is often associated with bringing joy, happiness, and playfulness into one’s life. It is also believed to be helpful in reducing stress and anxiety. (Sign me up right now! I need a pair myself!) Apricot Quartz can be found in various colors, including orange, peach, yellow, and pink.
